Inquiry Learning at Findon Primary School
At Findon Primary School, all students from Foundation to Year 6 take part in weekly Inquiry lessons designed to spark curiosity and inspire deep thinking. Across the year, students explore a range of curriculum areas including History, Geography, Science, Civics and Citizenship, Economics and Business, and Health.
Each week, students participate in two engaging lessons where they investigate rich, themed unit topics and work towards an end project or goal. Our approach follows the Inquiry Cycle of Learning: Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, and Evaluate, empowering students to take ownership of their learning journey.
To bring learning to life, students enjoy a variety of hands on activities, as well as exciting excursions and incursions that extend and deepen their understanding of the world around them.
